The mysterious people of the Surma life in the south west of Ethiopia, due to their geographical isolation, they are able to maintain a unique and rich culture, living in a half nomadic existence in an almost terrestrial paradise. This proud people have a great sense for beauty and expression, their creativity shows itself in the intricate designs with which they especially the men-decorate their own bodies to attract the other sex, for ceremonies and especially for the stick fighting donga, the foundation for complex and competitive social structure where the aim is to establish a champion or the encouragement of a collective hostility before attacking an enemy tribe. Married woman wear impressive big lip plates where the size is related to wealth.

Day 1: Arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International airport. Overnight Hotel

Day 2: Journey west to Jimma admiring the scenic area. Overnight Hotel

Day 3: Time to visit both the Dizi and Tishena tribes. Overnight Camping

Day 4: After breakfast journey towards Majji region. Overnight Camping

Day 5: After breakfast start walking towards Adikas. Overnight Camping

Day 6: In the morning resume hiking toward Kormu. Overnight Camping

Day 7: Hike to Kibish visiting the Surma tribal village. Overnight Camping

Day 8: Stay visiting the nearby Surma tribal villages. Overnight Camping

Day 9: After breakfast resume hiking, back to Kormu. Overnight Camping

Day 10: Leave Kormu; and continue hiking to Adikas. Overnight Camping

Day 11: Expedition towards Tum; end of the trekking. Overnight Camping

Day 12: Morning meet the vehicles; then drive to Mizan.  Overnight Hotel

Day 13: Back to Jimma; admiring picturesque landscape. Overnight Hotel

Day 14: Drive back to Addis; en route visit Lake Wonchi. Overnight Hotel

Day 15: Visit Addis Ababa; then in the evening departure back to home.
